Data deletion instructions
Last updated: 18 August 2026
You can have the personal information and connected-platform data that Social Relay holds about you deleted. There are two parts to it: cutting off future access, which you can do yourself in seconds, and removing what is already stored, which we do for you.
Cut off access yourself
Sign in to Social Relay, open Settings, and choose Disconnect beside any destination. That deletes the stored authorisation for it immediately, and Social Relay can no longer reach that account.
You can also remove Social Relay from Facebook directly, under Settings & privacy → Settings → Business integrations, or from LinkedIn under Settings → Data privacy → Permitted services. Doing it at that end stops future access but does not remove what we already hold, so send the request below as well.
Ask us to delete what is stored
- Email support@getsocialrelay.com with the subject Data deletion request.
- Tell us the business name on the account and the email address you sign in with. If the request concerns Facebook or Instagram, include the Page name or Instagram username. Never email a password or an access token.
- We confirm who you are, delete or de-identify the information, and write back to tell you it is done. We aim to finish within 30 days.
What happens to your posts
Articles you have written in Social Relay are deleted along with the account. Anything already published to your website, Facebook, Instagram or LinkedIn stays where it is — those posts live on those platforms, not with us, and you remove them there.
What may be kept
We keep the minimum needed to meet legal obligations and to prevent abuse — billing records, for instance, which the law requires us to hold. Nothing retained includes a usable access token for any social platform.
